In general, you can visit Applied Industrial Systems (AIS) on the internet without telling us who you are or giving any personal information about yourself. However, if you contact us (either online, in person, by telephone or letter) to enquire about services, you may be required to provide personal data such as your name, company position, mobile number, or email address. We will collect that information and use it for the purposes for which you have provided it.
Every time you connect to our website, we store a log of your visit that shows the unique number your machine uses when it is connected to the internet – its IP address. This tells us what your machine has looked at, whether the page request was successful or not and which browser your machine used to view the pages. This data is used primarily for statistical purposes – to help us to understand which areas of the Site are of particular interest and also which pages are not being requested. Email Mailing List & Marketing Messages
We operate an email mailing list program, used to inform users about services, products and/or news we supply/publish. Users can subscribe through an online automated process where they have given their explicit permission and we also contact individuals who have expressed an interest in information related to automation systems via our strategic partners. Subscriber personal details are collected, processed, managed and stored in accordance with the regulations named above.
Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time through an automated online service, or other means as detailed in the footer of sent marketing messages. The type and content of marketing messages subscribers receive will be clearly outlined at the point of subscription.
Email marketing messages may contain tracking beacons / tracked clickable links or similar server technologies in order to track subscriber activity within email marketing messages. Where used, such marketing messages may record a range of subscriber data relating to engagement, geographic, demographics and already stored subscriber data.
We also use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to manage the delivery of our emails. How we protect your information
We endeavour to hold all personal information secure and private in accordance with our internal security procedures and English law. The information that you provide will be held securely by us and/or our data processors whether the information is in electronic or physical format. Your personal information will not be stored any longer than is necessary. We will not store any of your information outside of the European Economic Area.
Users contacting us through this website do so at their own discretion and provide any such personal details requested at their own risk. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet or any other network can be guaranteed 100% secure. We will report any unlawful data breech of any of our AIS’ database or the database of our third- party data processors to any and all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach if it is apparent that personal data stored in an identifiable manner has been stolen.
